How the score is calculated
TarotDew finds the aspects (conjunction, sextile, square, trine, opposition) between your planets and your partner's, then weighs the ones that matter most for each part of a relationship. The total is a weighted blend of the four categories.
| Category | Weight in total | Main planet links checked |
|---|---|---|
| Romance & attraction | 30% | Venus–Mars, Sun–Moon, Moon–Venus, Venus–Venus, Sun–Venus, Mars–Mars |
| Emotional bond | 25% | Moon–Moon, Moon–Sun, Moon–Venus, Moon–Neptune, Moon–Jupiter |
| Long-term staying power | 25% | Saturn–Sun, Saturn–Moon, Saturn–Venus, Jupiter–Sun, Jupiter–Venus, North Node–Sun and Moon |
| Communication | 20% | Mercury–Mercury, Mercury–Moon, Mercury–Sun, Mercury–Jupiter, Mercury–Venus |
The same birth dates always give the same result. Nothing is random.
What the scores mean
- High scores show where things flow naturally. Enjoy them, but don't take them for granted.
- Middle scores are normal and leave room to grow; most lasting couples have several.
- Low scores point to friction to talk about, not a reason to give up.
- A square or opposition can create attraction as well as tension.

Frequently asked questions
How does a love compatibility calculator work?
TarotDew compares the planets in two birth charts, finds the aspects between them and scores romance, communication, emotional bond and long-term staying power from 0 to 100.
Is this love calculator free?
Yes. It is free and unlimited with no sign-up and no ads.
Do I need our birth times?
No. Dates are enough. With times, the Moon and other fast points are more precise, and the result notes when times are missing.
Is a low score bad?
No. A low category shows where you may need patience or clearer talk. Many happy couples have one or two low categories.
Can I check a crush or a friend?
Yes. Any two birth dates work. Romance scores matter less for friends; communication and emotional bond matter more.
Is this the same as zodiac compatibility?
No. Zodiac compatibility compares two Sun signs. This calculator compares full charts, so two people with the same signs can get different results.
